CDはいいな〜！
ロビン・トロワーがプルコルハルムを脱退し、ソロに転向して初めて出した「Twice Removed From Yesterday」（1973年）と「Bridge Of Sighs 」の2枚のアルバムが1枚のCDに収まったという大変お得なアルバム。オジサン臭くなりますが、昔は高額なアナログ盤を泣きながら買いそろえたもんですが、いまは手ごろな価格でお腹一杯になれるから本当に幸せです。
さて、「Twice Removed From Yesterday」は冒頭のI Can't Wait Much LongerやDaydreamなどお馴染みの曲から、ロビンのダミ声が聴かれる表題曲や重厚なHannahなどどれも珠玉の名曲がずらりです。
「Bridge Of Sighs 」ももちろん素晴らしいのですが、再発のアルバムには未発表のライブがボーナストラックとしてついているので、どうもそっちに食指が動いてしまいます。少し微妙な位置付けになってしまいました。
１枚で２度美味しい！！
本来２枚組で発売されていたアルバムを１枚にＣＤ化。「Bridge Of Sighs」のおおよその曲目は、ライブで必ず演奏される程の名曲揃い。ロビントロワーが一番油の乗っていた頃のアルバムで、１枚で２度美味しい。彼独特のリフの乗りは病み付きになりそう。
